In shrugging off attempts by Intel to get into his market,  The head of British chip designer Arm Holdings plc has possibly (unintentionally) made news.

In an interview to Reuters, he made the following statement re: the release of Windows 8 on ARM.

“We’ve waited a long time for this to happen. Another six months, another 12 months doesn’t matter,” said East. “I’d much rather wait however long it takes to get a quality experience than compromise.”

Microsoft has not publicly announced a release date for Windows 8 so it’s interesting to hear what may be happening behind the scenes.

Stay tuned…
