Oh boy, here we go again! Microsoft is currently working to address an outage affecting Office 365 and Outlook users, primarily in the UK, but with reports that users across the globe are impacted.

Apparently due to a problem with the Exchange Online service.

Exchange Online is a hosted messaging application service that offers organizations access to Exchange Server features like email, calendars, contacts and tasks.

This latest outage comes just a week after the Redmond based company suffered multifactor authentication issues on its Azure cloud platform that left thousands of users locked out of their accounts.

And this newest one has hundreds of users reporting login and server connection issues.

The issue has continued through the day.

Downdetector Outage Map

Downdetector, an independent website that offers a real-time view of the Office 365 outage, paints a rather distressing picture of the cyber clouds above the UK region showing that the productivity platform begun experiencing problems around 11 AM GMT.

Hitting a peak around 12 PM.

Interestingly, while the Office 365 status page states that there is nothing that prevents users from accessing the service, Microsoft suggests that customers may be able to access services by refreshing their connections.

Long story short, Monday just got a lot more interesting for these users!

While companies are left asking hard questions about their business continuity strategies and how they plan on preparing for the next unfortunate outage.
