How to Launch It

  •   Open the traditional Control Panel through the Start Screen or using the Run Windows command “control”.
  •   Select “Category” view for Control Panel.
  •   Select “Hardware and Sound” category. This opens a new page containing the  subcategories.
  •   Select “Location Settings”. This will launch the applet on the same control panel  page.
Note that this applet provides administrative settings. You need to be an administrator to change the settings. Also, any customizations you make will reflect on all the user accounts. If you wish to customize location settings for your user account, then you should visit the “Privacy” section of the metro control panel – “PC Settings”. In this applet, you can turn on/off the Windows location platform. Turning it off will disable location services on the system, i.e., for all the users.
