Redmond has just confirmed the success of its 2012 Giving Program. The effort was a triumph this year too, as company employees donated a nifty total of $105 million to various charitable organizations.

This makes it the second straight year that donations from its employees crossed the $100 million mark.

Microsoft shared last year’s results in a statement on its blog, confirming the four nonprofit organizations that have consistently received funding from company employees in the last 30 years:

“Across Microsoft, teams create unique events for co-workers to have fun while participating in our culture of giving. Employees make donations of all sizes through bake sales, dog and cat calendars, photo and cook books, and dunk tanks. Our most popular events, the Microsoft auction, the 5K Walk/Run, and the Giving Tree continue to draw broad employee participation”.

The four organizations are World Vision, Seattle Children’s Hospital, United Way of King Country and American National Red Cross.

Redmond actually confirmed last October that it had crossed the impressive threshold of $1 billion raised in cash for around 31,0000 global community organizations. This year’s effort is even more impressive when taken in this context.

And the way things are going, it shows no signs of slowing down in 2013.
