Boy, that was decently quick, if I say so myself. With the way things currently are in North America, with regards to supplies, most technology circles were expecting a delayed roll out in other countries.
In fact, potential buyers from several markets were left wondering when they would get a chance to snap up a Surface Pro tablet.
Good news for those that are in Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand or the United Kingdom — you will be able to snap one up in late March as Redmond kicks off the rollout in these countries.
The company announced the news on the official surface blog:
“We are focused on meeting demand in current markets for Surface Pro and are working super hard to get new inventory into retail but recognize demand exists in other countries as well. We are committed to working with our retail partners to ensure we are delivering a great experience in the above mentioned countries for our customers.”
But the Surface Pro is not the only product getting expanded retail availability. Microsoft also detailed that the Surface RT is set for arrival in Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan in the coming months.
While Redmond has not provided specifics of the rollout, and which markets will see the Surface Pro and RT next month, it has promised additional details in a more elaborate post in the future. Nevertheless, it stands to reason that each market will probably announce the availability of the tablets individually.
And Microsoft has still not announced any sales figures of its tablets, but chances are that an announcement could follow soon once the global rollout is complete and numbers start to mount up.

MS can’t supply America, how on earth are they going to provide for the rest of the world?
Day by day. 🙂 I mean select few units for the important markets. They just had to do this to calm the potential buyers in other countries. Buy some more time.
But I agree, unless supply is streamlined by March, Surface Pro is going to get in the news for all the wrong reasons. Interestingly, it’s the 128GB version that is seeing the increase demand.
