As one of the largest technology companies around, Microsoft really banks on its partners to drive its technologies forward. These partnerships have taken another dimension altogether with the company’s latest platforms like Windows 8 and Windows Phone.
Redmond has been running its Partner of the Year Awards program for a few years now.
It celebrates the best and most innovative use of the company’s technologies across its hardware and software partners. And the technology titan recently announced the winners and finalists of the 2013 Partner of the Year awards.
Jon Roskill, the corporate VP of the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft said in a press release:
“The 2013 Partner of the Year Award winners and finalists represent some of the best and brightest our ecosystem has to offer. We applaud each of our partners for demonstrating exceptional dedication in working to solve the most pressing technology challenges facing our mutual customers today. Congratulations to each award winner on this recognition.”
A total of 44 winners were spread across 3,000 entries from 100 different countries.
The categories included important fields like Windows 8, Cloud Computing, Office and SharePoint applications along with usual ones like entrepreneurial spirit, sales excellence and corporate responsibility.
Microsoft will recognize the winners formally on stage at its Worldwide Partner Conference set to take place between July 7 and 11 in Houston.
