Temple Run hits Windows 8, and this time it takes the classic Temple Run game play mechanics but in a new themed location. The magical Land of Oz, which is based on the recent hit film.
The game, once again, is all about running as far as you can — without bumping into obstacles that pop up along the way. The further a player manages to run in a single try, the higher the score. Temple run has its root on touch based devices, and Windows 8 touch capable one should be right at home.
The official description states:
“Disney and Imangi Studios present Temple Run: Oz – a brand-new endless runner inspired by Temple Run 2 and the film Oz the Great and Powerful. Play as Oz and outrun the shrieking flying baboons as you turn, jump and slide your way across the land. Begin your exhilarating adventure now and see how far you can run!”
The visuals of the game are absolutely gorgeous — for a multiplatform casual game. There is an array of stunning environments available that are inspired by the movie, and playing the game is as intense as ever. Performing actions like jumping, ducking and changing directions is a thrill.
Temple Run: Oz retails for $3.49, and no trial is currently available. However, it supports Windows 8 on all platforms from x86 and x64 to ARM based processors.
