Windows 8.1 comes with a truckload of improvements, many of which seem to have piqued the interest of traditional desktop users that were not really interested in upgrading to Windows 8 last year.
Well, if you are still using an older version of Windows and want to try out Windows 8.1 before shelling out the cash, Microsoft has got you covered. Users of older versions of Windows have no other option than to purchase a standalone copy — which actually starts at $119.99.
But those of you that want to try out Windows 8.1 can try out the 90-day trial of Windows 8.1 Enterprise. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions are ready to be taken for a spin.
As the company states on the TechNet Evaluation Center page:
“Windows 8.1 Enterprise provides IT professionals with a reliable and easy-to-manage infrastructure for today’s changing and increasingly mobile work styles. It’s the fastest and most secure OS from Microsoft for desktop, laptop, or tablet.”
Both x86 and x64 ISOs are available, and multiple languages are supported including English (United States), English (Great Britain), German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (Simplified), and Chinese (Traditional).
All you need to do is register, and start your download.
And if you find Windows 8.1 to be your cup of tea after the 90-day trial period, you can go ahead and either download the final version online or get your boxed copy from retail outlets.

I was told by a friend, that with the redesign of this website that annoying, obnoxious, intrusive, and outdated sales ad had been removed. Well how wrong could my friend have been. While reading this short it appeared twice and while typing this comment it raised its ugly head two more times. Windows 8 is now old technology therefore making it time to move on to something else to annoy and run off your readers and guests. It is time to move on from Windows 8 and I assume it is time for me to move completely away from EyeOnWindows which is ashame since there are some good writers here especially Onuora but he rarely writes any more articles.
Ok enough enough!
It’s gone now.
Hmmm … that used to happen to me too but not for awhile now.
Javajolt is killing me!!
I need to keep in touch with you guys somehow!!
I’ll look for something a little less intrusive…
LOL! Well Onuora, I have no beef with the ads because you need to pay for this somehow, right? Besides, all you have to do is close it. But that ad hasn’t been popping up for at least a month for me. It’s not nearly as annoying as Paul Thurrott’s site. I have to log in every time there, and in the middle of it, that ad of his pops up. Argh! But as usual, I just close it.
No harm here. 🙂
