If you thought the successful Surface deal that Microsoft and friends put up for Black Friday was something special, then just wait till you get a sniff of this.

The original Surface RT recently retailed for $199, and as expected, the tablet moved big numbers.

And now it turns out that Microsoft may be preparing some very special deals for Surface 2 fans too. A recent video revealed that Redmond is planning to release a very special Surface 2 bundle for Christmas, at the sweet, sweet price of $149.

You can find the details here, though the video has since been removed.

While we do not know for sure what exactly will be included in this bundle, since Microsoft took the video down so swiftly, there is a fair chance that the slate may come with a bunch of gifts and accessories. Think sleeves, gift cards, or maybe even Touch and Type Covers.

There are further rumors that Redmond is also getting ready to launch some special in-store promotions this holiday, so if you are planning some Microsoft hardware make sure you keep an eye out for these deals that will go live in a couple of week.

File this bundle deal as a (very pleasant) rumor for now, though, but expect more details soon.

  • Keep dreaming. There is no way for someone who is in their right mind to sell $1000 tablet for under $200….

    • I think they are referring to the Surface 2, not the Pro version. Big difference!

  • I think they should do some kind of deal on the Surface 2 of 100 off and a free touch cover. Just through mid-January.

  • The deal doesn’t include the tablet. You have to first buy the tablet in order to qualify for the accessories deal. A way for MS to get more money from your pocket.
