report cites new statistics from a market research firm in Romania that reveals the amazing fact that Windows Phone devices are now higher than the various iPhone that are being sold there. What’s amazing here, you ask? Well how about the fact that they are now four times higher in 2013, than compared to the year before. In fact, Windows Phone devices managed to corner a 10 percent of the market in the two important months of November and December last year. Still a lot to do to catch up with Android, but this much is becoming clear that Microsoft’s mobile OS is now becoming a certified threat to all competitors, the amount of ground it has covered recently.]]>

  • iphone is the same tired and boring design since release, where Windows Phone is fresh and appealing. People need to understand steve jobs is dead (he is no messiah) and decaying just like apple and tim cook. Further more apples tend to rot over time

    • It’s been tired and boring for a long time. A lot of time when you’re first, it can be over a decade before people realize that maybe that doesn’t make you the best. They were the first to push the smart phone as a status symbol for the regular guy or just the regular guy in general. It took way too long for people to see that the IPhone really isn’t all people make it out to be. Add that to the normal hype that surrounds Apple, no one else would have survived this long. If it wasn’t for Apples almost cult-like following, I don’t know where they’d be.

      • You’re spot on, Ray. Apple was the first one to push smartphones to the next level after blackberry. Because of that, they got all the publicity, apps, and other stuff first, but as you said, it doesn’t mean it’s still the best product. I think people are starting to realize this. I expect Windows to rise even more in the coming year!

  • This is good. It will only move faster once 8.1 comes out. Hopefully Microsoft won’t have two Windows updates out and a 3rd on the way before updating Windows Phone ever again. I’ll just be glad when all these OS and store mergers are finally done. I can’t wait to see what comes after 8.1.

  • This is huge news. Windows phone is coming for the overrated iPhone despite public perception. Like most things, the bigger you get, the harder it is to maintain quality.
