KB2919355 that is supposed to take care of the error code 80073712, and make installation smoother. The company has already acknowledged this error, and put up this advice:

Any ideas on what caused this problem?
I would like to know this as well! What happened that made this a real problem?
Not a good look for Microsoft to have these problems during the update. However, it’s good they’re proactive and have a solution up already. I like that.
