“King’s Bounty: Legions is vibrant, well thought-out 3D online strategy game with turn-based combat in a vast and diverse game universe. Head into a world full of magic, wondrous creatures and wicked monsters. Become a knight, forge armor in the smithy and amass an invincible army! Upgrade your troops and learn new spells.” Just like any turn-based video game worth its digital salt, you can reinforce your army by hiring troops, upgrading them, and equipping them with new items that you find along the way — or in this case, create in the workshop. The online functionality of this game makes it possible to create clans with friends, and fight other human players, though it makes heavy use of in-app purchases. Downsides? It is only available for x86 and x64 versions of Windows, however, and it is one of the few titles on the Windows Store that do not come with support for touch. Will you look at that! Still, it provides a good time, and is worth a look if you are running Windows 8.1 Pro. Click here to check out King’s Bounty: Legions on the Windows Store.]]>

  • These army strategy games seem to come out by the dozen. It’s not my cup of tea, but there’s no denying the popularity. Add in the fact that it’s free, and I’m sure this will be successful.
