word that the Core M (also known as Broadwell-Y) processors are to be pushed back as well. These chips are actually SoCs (system-on-chip) devices — dual-core processors with integrated 3MB of L3 cache memory to go with HD graphics with 23 execution units. All this with Hyper-Threading, and in a TDP package ranging from 4.5 watts to 11.5 watts. In short, perfect for use in tablets, media players, Home Theater PCS, even budget laptops. This new development is rather troubling when you consider that several companies have joined the party, and were said to be readying Windows based tablets for release in the coming months. Which is to say by the holiday season this year. Now if these chips are indeed delayed, then they are not expected to arrive before December 2014. The release date could even spiral out to January 2015, depending on when production starts. A far cry from the expected debut in September that was initially planned. Still, there is a chance that the rumors are not true, as we have not really heard Intel talk about these roadmap changes in detail. But this is a reliable source, and several others informers have mentioned poor chip yields. At the very least, this delay is bound to tie into how (and when) Windows tablets, including the next generation Surface slates hit the store shelves. And that is without even talking about the impact on desktop PCs and notebooks.]]>

Yawn! Intel CPUs are always being delayed it seems. I hope they get this right when it does come up! 🙂
Where did this “word that the Core M (also known as Broadwell-Y) processors are to be pushed back as well.” come from ??
Source??
ID10T Error. Broadwell is delayed, NOT Core M. KitGuru misquoted Intel and now everyone around the web is making the same mistake.
