When it comes to preview builds, Windows 8.1 has had its fair share of leaks. More than a handful of versions have made their way to, um, shady places on the Internet, including public torrent trackers.

This means anyone feeling adventurous can install and take them for a test drive.

The latest to come our way was Windows 8.1 build 9385, which got leaked a few days ago, confirming that Microsoft is nearing the final release of the next version of Windows slated to hit the store shelves later this summer.

The latest screenshot to reach the Internet just a few hours ago comes from PC Portal, giving us our first look at some interesting customization capabilities that Microsoft has planned for Windows 8.1.

It appears that Redmond is contemplating the introduction of new options that concern the Charms bar.

As can be seen from the image above, the Settings Charm in Windows 8.1 build 9385 sports the color red, meaning that users may be allowed to change the color of this particular feature once the first upgrade to Windows 8 rolls around.

Smallest of changes, but a change it is, nevertheless.

Official details on Windows 8.1 are still very scarce for the time being, but insider sources are claiming that Microsoft is on track to debut the final version this summer — most probably in September, if not August this year.
