video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRV76VbTq-8 The clip entertainingly (yes, that’s a word) highlights the HTC One M8 design over the Apple iPhone 5S, at least when it comes to speaker placement. Other points are also highlighted in this short video. Since this is ad is a solid 30 seconds in length, chances are that it will roll out on TV screens across the globe. The Windows Phone variant of the HTC One M8 was recently unveiled, and is due to launch worldwide in the months to come. Cortana, on the other hand, has been here for 5 months now, and from the looks of it, compares very favorably to Siri that launched some 3 years back. What do you think? Is Cortana inherently more powerful than Siri and Google Now, owing to its intelligent design? All three digital voice assistants do thing differently, but the central concept is the same. Which one is better?]]>

  • Didn’t try Cortana. But I tried Siri before and it was crap.

    • I tried Cortana, she’s less shitty, but doesn’t have that voice, and nowhere near as powerful as Google Now. But its at a great start.

    • That’s the point I think. Siri is just awful, so Cortana just has to be adequate, which it is at this point. Overall, a funny ad.

  • Cortana is the best of the 3. I like these commercials. They’re funny. But at some point, they’ll have to go with new WP campaign

  • I’m torn here. On one hand, Microsoft needs to prove that they’re better than Apple in tons of ways to the public who is semi-brainwashed. But on the other hand, this just screams insecurity and inferiority. They may be better off just staying away from Apple in ads.
