Top down racing titles have found a second life thanks to the mobile revolution, and while Mini Motor Racing doesn’t necessarily bring anything new to this beloved genre, it’s a fine game in its own right.
If you remember playing classic titles like Micro Machines or Super Cars, then this one is for you.
This miniature racing game lets you race against computer opponents in single races, though a career mode is also on offer. You can buy cars to race against other drivers on more than 30 day and night tracks, making up well over 300 races in total. This is a multiplatform game, after all.
The official description:
“Start your engines! The most vibrant, super-charged and critically acclaimed racing game has finally made it’s way to Windows Store!
Welcome to the world of Mini Motor Racing. A high-octane battle royal, Mini Motor Racing has all the style of classic arcade racers combined with the explosive action of modern racing games. Take to the track in over 300 races in the massive career mode, upgrading your ride and expanding your garage as you progress.”
Coming in at 998.7 MB, this is not exactly a light download. But you do get a plethora of content, tuning and customization abilities, different weather conditions to go with crisp and clear visuals.
It plays best with a keyboard, but it can also be played using touch or Xbox 360 controllers.
While a $2.99 purchase, totally worth it if you are into these type of games, Mini Motor Racing is also available as a free trial download. Works on all modern versions of Windows, 32-bit, 64-bit and those based on ARM based processors.
