There’s news if you have been wondering when the next Windows 10 preview builds will make their way out of Redmond walls. Not good news, not bad news either, just plain old news.
And that’s because even though there will be no new release today, Microsoft will share details on what is holding up the latest build.
The software titan, as you may recall, delayed the launch of the next preview build for Insiders in the Fast ring of the program last week due to what it called a blocking bug. And while there is a solid chance that we will be treated to something new later this week, but it’s not happening today.
As Dona Sarkar revealed, the company will have more information on what’s causing this hitch with the new builds later today:
#WindowsInsiders : no new builds today, we'll have more info on the state of our Canary build's bug fixes this afternoon.

Good.
We do know that the abovementioned bug had a big impact on things, and the company decided to delay the release of a new build to keep Insiders and their computers safe.
Instead the smiley heavy Windows 10 Mobile build 15240 took flight solo that day.
Of course, an awful lot has happened on the other rings of the Windows Insider Program since the last PC build was released some two weeks ago — that being build 16257. Slow ring Insiders got access to a new version, ISO files were made available, as well as new Server, SDK and Mobile Emulator builds.
We’ll keep an eye on things, and let you know once the company releases more information on the state of these preview builds.
