Every so quietly! Yesterday was a big day for Microsoft, as it finally managed to release a new Windows 10 preview build for PCs in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider Program.
After, what was, a wait of three weeks.
And even though the software titan usually prepares a mobile version of the preview to be launched alongside the PC one, this was not the case this time around. Redmond did, however, quietly push a new Windows 10 Mobile build to the Slow ring of the program.
Insiders on that channel now have access to build 15240, which is the version that was released a few weeks back and brought with it as set of fixes and a few new emojis.
It is from the feature2 branch, of course.
Dona Sarkar also confirmed, while saying sorry for the delay in putting up a blog post to notify everyone:
#WindowsInsiders: we have released build 15240 for Mobile on the Slow Ring. Sorry for the delay in blog: https://t.co/1o0cOHd3RS

Now, while this is not exactly a big release, but at least folks that have opted for the more stable Slow ring channel of the Windows Insider Program can now deploy this new build, in confidence that Redmond has thoroughly tested it out.
Hopefully, things get back to track on the Fast ring for Windows 10 Mobile Insiders from next week.
