The first Redstone 4 preview is available for Insiders enrolled in the Slow ring of the program, as Windows 10 build 17025 has just been released in the channel.
The previous version available in the Slow ring was build 16299.19, which was the RTM version of the Fall Creators Update.
Build 17025 was original released to the Fast ring last week, and brought with it a range of new features, including a revamped Ease of Access panel in Settings, the ability to control Startup tasks, as well as a couple of changes to the Yahei font.
There are a few visual improvements too, like the Fluent Design System elements in the Start Menu.
And since this is the first Redstone 4 version available in the Slow ring, it also brings some previous additions like Cortana Collections that arrived with build 17017.
Microsoft obviously thinks that the build is stable enough for users that have signed up for the Slow ring, meaning if you want to test out what the next version of Windows 10 is all about, then there is no better way to start.
Of course, we are still in early days of the Redstone 4 development, and chances are that the software titan will hold off revealing many of the major features that will be part of this version of the OS until an event where it will show them off.
But as far as first builds go, Slow ring users are in for a sweet little treat.
