There’s a new Windows 10 laptop in town, and it’s going straight for the crown! Huawei has unveiled the MateBook X Pro, and it comes with nearly invisible bezels on its edge-to-edge display.
That’s just up top.
Underneath you will find an irresistible combination of power and performance.
Thing start with a choice of two chips, namely the 8th generation Intel Core i7-8550U or its smaller sibling, the Core i5-8250U. These are paired with up to 16GB of RAM, with graphics choice being the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 or the Intel UHD Graphics 620.
Both capable chips in their own rights.
The laptop can be ordered with a maximum of 512GB SSD, and it also comes with a 1MP front-facing camera integrated right into the keyboard in the function keys row, a headphone jack, two USB-C ports, and one USB-A connector.
Huawei had this sleek little video to show things off at MWC 2018:

Marvelous.
Obviously, the main talking point of this device is the screen-to-body ratio of no less than 91%. An absolutely impressive achievement given the 13.9-inch display. The 3K screen features an excellent resolution of 3000 x 2000, as well as 10-point touch support.
All this is housed in an impressive package that weighs just 1.33 kg, but still is good enough to provide up to 12 hours of video playback per charge.
Speaking of the power button, it also comes with a fingerprint sense built in for Windows Hello integration.
The Huawei MateBook X Pro is set to become available in two different colors, Mystic Silver and Space Gray, with shipments beginning this spring. It will be priced between €1499 and €1899, which translates from $1850 to $2350 at current exchange rates.
