One of the more interesting new features set to arrive with Windows 8.1 later this year is the Reading List option, which allows users to save web content for later viewing and reading.
We have seen this option in the Charms in a couple of screenshots, but only little was known about it until now, except the purpose this new feature actually serves. But now a new screenshot posted a few hours back reveals the design of this new feature.
The image has surfaced over at WinForum and shows how this new option looks.
As noted above, this app can be accessed using the Share Charm and allows users to save a variety of content for later reading. Content can include items like web links, text, photos and even documents, which can be saved with just a few clicks — or taps if you will.
The design is, obviously, based on the Metro design philosophy that Microsoft introduced with Windows 8 and the app is completely optimized for touch.
More details on Reading List are expected to be unveiled by Redmond at the BUILD developer conference next week, along with other enhancements that will be part of Windows 8.1, the first major refresh of the company’s flagship operating system.
