Microsoft is zooming along towards the big 100,000 apps milestone for its Windows Store, and with interest in the platform starting to escalate, the company is intensifying its efforts to help coders that want to develop Modern UI apps.
The company recently launched its official Windows App Builder Blog.
This new blog is part of the company’s family of Windows blogs. And the first post on this new blog is co-written by Microsoft’s Director of Program Management for the Windows Store, Ted Dworkin and the Group Program Manager for Windows, Ian LeGrow.
The software titan previously had two different blogs when it came to app development — one was Windows 8 app development, and another that covered Windows Store news and information. As the first post states:
“With the upcoming release of Windows 8.1 Preview, we’re combining both these blogs into one. This way, you can get all your Windows development in one place—and you can look forward to lots of details about the developer story for Windows 8.1.”
Expect to see tips and hints on how to make Windows 8 app on this new blog, as well as detailed help on the Windows Store submission process. It will also offer help on how to monetize, promote and market these apps.
Obviously, with the BUILD developer conference right around the corner, it is reasonable to expect some serious action on this new blog next week, with several helpful and informative posts.
