There are a host of new features that will be introduced in Windows 8.

This post will talk about Windows 8 Upgrade Advisor.

In Windows 7 when you download, install, and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, You’ll get a report telling you if your PC can run Windows 7 and if there are any known compatibility issues.

If an issue can be resolved, you’ll get suggestions for next steps.

For example, it may let you know that you need an updated driver for your printer and where to get it.

Note: Information about your PC will be sent back to Microsoft; however, Microsoft have stated that no information will be used to identify or contact you. For more information, read their privacy statement.

This is part of a series of posts that I’ll be putting in place to kind of stake out the features I believe will be in Windows 8.

It’s a good bet that Windows 8 will have Upgrade Advisor.
