HP, in association with Microsoft and Valve, has officially unveiled the Reverb G2 virtual reality headset that it hinted a while back. It’s designed for seamless integration with both Windows Mixed Reality and SteamVR.
This impressive new high-end headset is the successor to the original HP Reverb that was announced back in March 2019.
The company may not be a leader in the virtual reality space like HTC and Oculus, but that is not stopping the firm from upping its game on a regular basis. And this latest arrival ups the game in all the right areas.

Key features include dual 2160 x 2160 LCD panels that provide a 114° field of view. These are combined with revamped 10mm speakers with support for spatial audio.
On top of that, HP has also focused on comfort of this second iteration device. Thanks to an increased facemask cushion for better weight distribution, wearing it promises to be a delight. The Reverb G2 also come with new controllers that can be paired with the headset for an easy setup experience.
The headset uses four cameras for tracking, translating to a 1.4x better movement capture.
The HP Reverb G2 is set to hit store shelves this fall for $599.
