Now open! If you want your digital doohickeys, then the Xbox Game Bar Widget Store is the place to go. The repository is now open for business, and already houses a few neat creations.
It was back in April that Microsoft announced that it was opening up the Game Bar on Windows 10 to third-party developers, including a dedicated store. Well, the store just went live now, and with it arrive a couple other Game Bar features.
Details here.
But the key highlight here are the widgets that are available in the new store, including a remarkably powerful tool to create live streams called the XSplit Game Bar HUD widget.
And then there is the Corsair iCUE that lets you customize your lighting effects on Corsair hardware. Riding along those lines is the Chrome RGB widget from Razer that offers similar functionality on that line of hardware.
One the gaming side of things, we have one called Ghost, and it’s specifically designed as a companion to the popular game Destiny. It keeps track of your gameplay, and provides shortcuts to bounties, quests, and triumphs.
To round things up, we also have a few features coming to the good old Game Bar itself.
One is click-through, and it’s meant to give you a control over whether a click lands on a widget or the game underneath it. Another is the ability for widgets to support transparency. Both these are welcome usability additions.
Everything listed above is available now.
To get them, simply download or update the Xbox Game Bar via the Microsoft Store.
