Ready to get your game on? Just wait for September. Microsoft has finally detailed its immediate plans for the Project xCloud cloud game streaming service, and things are about to heat up on this front.

And this news comes right up from the top.

Xbox chief Phil Spencer detailed the company’s commitment to Xbox gamers in a blog post today.

He explaining how games will play better on Xbox Series X, how almost all games that are playable on the Xbox One will be playable on the new console, and how all Xbox Game Studios games will be available for Xbox One.

Amid all these exciting developments are some updates for the upcoming Project xCloud service, which is currently in early testing with a select group of gamers.

But it’s coming to a whole lot of folks soon.

Beginning in September, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have access to the game streaming service. It will be included in the subscription, so it will not cost anything extra. Of course, this means that we just don’t know how much it is worth just yet as a standalone service.

For the record, Game Pass Ultimate already bundles the Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Live Gold for $14.99 a month.

Microsoft does say that you will be able to play over 100 Xbox Game Pass games from anywhere as long as you have Internet access. Presumably, the entire catalog will be available for gamers to try out once the service expands.

Speaking of expansion, xCloud is supported on Android phones and tablets right now, with a limited preview on iOS.

It should be coming to Windows 10 fairly soon, though.
