A picture that reveals that 1.24% of Surface owners are already using the Surface Go. Surprising when you consider it, inspiring when you think about it. The new tablet it already on a good trajectory.
Advertising network AdDuplex released its latest monthly report that is based on data collected from apps that ran version 2 or higher of its SDK on the date of August 22. The report focuses on the recently released Windows 10 April 2018 Update.
And the breakdown shares similarities to the statistics revealed last month.
That is, Windows 10 April 2018 Update saw its usage increase from 84.2% to 86.7%, while the rest of the versions of the operating system declined by minor amounts. Save for version 1511, the only unsupported version of Windows 10, which saw an odd little increase from 0.6% to 0.7%.
Windows 10 April 2018 Update, meanwhile, started off at an unprecedented pace, but has slowed down quite a bit in recent weeks. It should climb a bit more next month — before it starts its expected decline when the next update comes out in October.
On the Surface front, we have Surface Pro 4 that is still the most popular Surface by far.
It is followed by two other Surface Pro models, while the Surface Go has already made an appearance on this radar. It has a 1.24% usage share — putting it in between the Surface Laptop and the Surface Studio.
Of course, this data is only about Surface devices running AdDuplex ads, and it not reflective of the entire Surface user base. But it’s a solid showing overall for a budget device that was released on August 2 in the United States, and is only expected to start shipping in more markets starting August 28.
The fact that it is the most affordable Surface ever weighs in its favor, and should increase its appeal among Microsoft fans.
