A gaming classic is coming to a Windows 10 PC near you! Microsoft has confirmed that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be launching smack in the middle of November.
November 14, to be precise.
The company had attached a fall release window for the game during E3, and confirmed the date during its Inside Xbox presentation at Gamescom earlier this week.
Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is headed to both the Microsoft Store and Steam, instead of being exclusive to the former. Players on both the platforms will also be able to play the game together thanks to cross-play, while Game Pass PC subscribers will also gain access to it from day one.
Here is the trailer for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition:
The game is up for preorder now with a $19.99 price tag across both the Microsoft Store and Steam, with a 25% discount over at Steam for those that already have the old Age of Empires II HD Edition, which was released all the way back in 2013.
The Definitive Edition comes packing support for 4K Ultra HD graphics, a remastered soundtrack, an array of gameplay improvements across the board, as well as new content in the form of three new campaigns and four new civilizations.
Justice done, to what is one of the biggest names in strategy games.
Roll on, November!
