There is no shortage of alarm apps available on the Windows Store, but most are hit or miss. Well miss, mostly, but this one is about as good as you can find on Microsoft’s newest platform.
Alarm Clock HD is a truly special application and one of the best multimedia alarm apps released for Windows 8. It comes with unlimited roaming alarms and up to 3 world clocks.
But that’s not all, in fact, just the tip of a feature-packed application. The app also offers weather, currency exchange rates, music player, Facebook and news feeds, photo albums and a lot more — basically the who enchilada. So much for a simple alarm clock, app, huh?

Like most quality apps, Alarm Clock HD offers background support, and the ability to display the alarm either as notification messages or even on the lock screen. Nifty!
And this is without even going into the details of the plenty of configuration options that can take a bit of time (pun always intended) to figure out and set up.
Offering a simplistic and minimal interface, this free app is available for all versions of Windows 8, including x86, x64 and ARM processors.
