You have got to hand it to the latest version of Windows. Never before in history were there as many wallpapers apps as they are on the Windows Store right now. And many of them are high quality.

Sure, what they lack in features, they make up for in flair.

Many of these wallpaper apps bring refreshingly great images and photos, often custom selected. Wallpaper Sky is no different. The app brings some of the best images that can be used as Lock Screen backgrounds and more.

The official description is as unsophisticated as the name of the app:

“30K+ HD Wallpapers Daily Updates; Unlimited Stunning Flickr Originals! Refresh your homescreen and background with dedicated HD wallpapers, lots of inspirations in every touch of your tablet!”

The free app also includes some social features like the daily wallpaper from Flickr, user showrooms and the ability to upload images to the service so that they can be viewed by people across the globe.

Images can be viewed and downloaded via clearly sorted categories.

As far as the design and UI of the app goes, it is in total Metro mode. The emphasis, however, is expectedly on the wallpapers, though. And while the aesthetics could use a little touch up, the app does what it set out do perfectly.

Windows 8 and Windows RT users, both, can download and use this engaging application, and it offers full support for a touch based input.
