Around 8.2 Million Lumia Devices Were Sold In Q4 2013, Nokia Confirms

manage to move some 8.2 million Lumia handsets in the last three months of the year, which is just shy of the figures of 8.8 million it achieved in the fourth quarter of 2013. But these numbers are almost double compared to the final quarter of 2012, and 4.4 million sales. While the company’s smartphone growth slowed a bit down, sales of Nokia’s Asha handsets and other feature phones went up, compared to the third quarter of 2013. Overall, however, Nokia managed to sell 30 million Lumia handsets in the year that just ended — easily double the numbers it pulled off in 2012. Nokia has also listed its Devices and Services division, including the Lumia and Asha line as “discontinued operations” in its financial report. Microsoft has received the major regulatory approvals and is on track to take over the company’s devices and services businesses in the first quarter of 2014.
