Well, hello there! It’s been an awful long time before we got our hands on clean, Windows 10 ISOs. A new one has been put up for download, Windows 10 build 19619, it is.
Making this the first post 20H1 release available.
Up until now, you had to be in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider Program and then get the new builds through Windows Update if you wanted to try them. Today, Microsoft is releasing the first ISO for a build in the vNext development branch.
That is to say, this one is not tied to a specific Windows 10 update.
Futuristic stuff, this.
Of course, if you have been following along, you probably know that build 19619 is the version of the preview that was released to Insiders in the Fast ring last week. It already collects and presents a number of handy changes that made an appearance in the versions preceding this.
For example, build 19536 stirred up how optional driver updates are presented in Windows Update, while build 19541 added some new information in the Task Manager. There is also ARM support for Hyper-V that build 19559 brought along.
Not to mention, the enhanced tablet experience outside of the tablet mode in build 19592. And oh, the Windows Subsystem for Linux integration in File Explorer that debuted with build 19603.
There is also the new Calendar app that has been exclusive to the vNext builds up until now, to try.
Long story short, if you have been waiting for an ISO to jump into the Insider builds, this is the one to download and deploy. Perfect for a clean install, or set up in a virtual environment, this version.
