Microsoft has just made official the European release dates for its tablet, with most countries in the Old Continent set to debut the device at the end of this month.

The company had already promised to give buyers in several countries across the globe the chance to get their hands on its tablets, and several European countries were said to get a piece of the action before the month of May.

And now the company has detailed the launch in each individual market across Europe.

France will sell the tablet today, May 17. Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland are in on the Surface Pro action on May 30. Germany, on the other hand, will start selling the slate on May 31.

A special promotion for Surface RT buyers will see the technology titan offering a free cover of their choice for every tablet until June 30.

This campaign is available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Pricing for each market varies, but both the 64GB and 128GB versions of the tablets are said to retail for €879 and €979 respectively in several countries including Portugal and Germany. The tablet will be available in Netherlands at €886 and €986 respectively.

The premium slate was until yesterday on sale in the US, Canada and China — and both Hong Kong and France are set to debut it today. UK will follow suit on May 23 and Australia on May 30.
