One of the handiest of features that Windows 10 picked up in the Fall Creators Update is the ability to convert currency on the fly using the default Calculator app.
According to the company, this was one of the most request feedback requests that users wanted to see implemented. And the best part is that Microsoft has carefully thought out this feature, and implemented it very well.
It pings the Internet for the latest exchange rates, but an offline mode is also available for when you are without connectivity. Plus, the conversion process is instant, fast and easy as it can be.
Here’s how you can convert currency in Calculator in Windows 10.
1. Open Calculator from the Start Menu.
2. In the app, click on the hamburger menu near the top left corner, and select the Currency option.
3. Update the rates if you want to by clicking on the Update rates link.
4. Now, simply enter the amount after selecting the currency pair you want, and Calculator will convert it instantly. You will also see the exchange rate listed in this window for your convenience. The rest everything is as you would expect.
That’s all there’s to it.
