It has been highly anticipated that the Google Chrome OS would be launched this year, but addressing Web2.0 Summit earlier this year in November, Eric Schmidt, Google CEO, said that it will take some more time for the OS to be launched.
However, rumors have flown thick and fast that Chrome OS will be launched by Google on December 7 in San Francisco, in the upcoming Google Chrome OS event.
Reports came out that Google will also be launching Chrome OS powered netbook during the event, which initially will be distributed among close friends of Google.
Packed with host of features, Chrome OS has been initially targeted for usage in netbooks, but Google has also hinted that it plans to expand Chrome OS beyond netbooks as well.
Should be interesting to see tomorrow…
