Microsoft has rolled out the second round of firmware updates for its Surface Go 2 tablet. These are not large in numbers, and don’t bring any new features, but fix a few things here and there.
Most notably, some system stability issues.
Another focus for these updates is improving pen performance, which they do by enhancing the performance of your pen when your palm is on the device.
There are no known issues with the June 2020 firmware updates. However, it is not possible to uninstall or revert these updates once deployed, so it may be best to wait a while before you get started with the process.
They are available for all Surface Go 2 devices that are running the Windows 10 November 2020 Update or later, and you can head to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update on your machine, and click on the Check for Updates option.
Besides these firmware updates, the Surface Dock 2 also recently received its own set of firmware updates last week, though Microsoft did not share any specific details for those.
These are in addition to the June 2020 firmware updates that Redmond release for all the Surface devices, including the Surface Pro 7, Laptop 3, Surface Pro X, and Surface Studio.
Plenty of action here if you own any such hardware.
