controversy claiming that American users are not really interested in small Windows tablets. It was even said that the company was discontinuing the 8-inch Miix 2 slate from store shelves in the United States. However, that proved to be a false alarm, and instead, the hardware giant unveiled a refreshed model with a full HD display. All through this, there was talk that the successor, the Lenovo Miix was set to go official at IFA 2014 in Berlin. Well, the event came and went, with nothing whatsoever on this tablet. As luck would have it, the Lenovo Miix 3 has just been spotted on a Chinese website — as a promotional image. It comes with an 8-inch display (7.85-inch, more precisely), with Windows 8.1 out of the box. Stylus comes standard, as these images show: [gallery ids="68982,68983,68984,68985,68986"] The full hardware specifications are missing for now, but we do know that the IPS display offers pretty good brightness levels (at 300 nits) and expectedly wide viewing angles. Hopefully, the resolution is full HD this time too, not the 1280 x 800 option that is deemed standard. In the processors column we have an Intel Atom Z3700 chip, quad-core, paired with an Intel HD Graphics unit that is DirectX 11 compatible. 2GB of RAM with either 32GB of 64GB storage, as usual More details should be with us soon enough, and the tablet is expected to launch in Europe first, before landing on US shores. Approximate price is set at €190, which translates to $246 roundabouts.]]>
