Surface RT owners will be asked to update their tablets with the latest security patches. Microsoft says that there are two “critical” fixes for Surface RT owners. The ‘critical updates are intended to block remote code execution, while the two are ‘important’ fixes fix flaws that could result in the OS’s security features being bypassed. The vulnerabilities include patches for the IP-HTTPS component, DirectPlay, Windows File Handling, Microsoft Word  and Kernel-Mode drivers, among others.  Details are listed here.
