    • That’s Samsung’s basic problem.

  • Next time around, Nokia, HTC and all them will come out with better looking phones and, sleeker, sexier etc.. for windows 8 devices.
And windows 8 will have service packs, updates etc… that will combat whatever IOS and Android can come up with.
Windows 8 doesn’t have to come out the gate and be the apple and google killer instantly. On the same token they cant take baby steps either.

  • @Arnold you are the epitome of Stupidity….
Nokia Lumia 920 is killing the iPhone 5 in every category; screen, ppi, camera, OIS, Pureview Camera w/ f2.0 Apeture, Pure motion Screen with a 1280×768 screen, wireless charging, better looking headphones, bigger battery, longer battery life, better security, and overall better design..
So what is the iPhone 5 beating the Nokia Lumia 920 Flagship phone at??? Nada

  • The gap between cool and dorky is razor thin because it is based on perception. Apple has done a great job to be cool. MS has never tried to look cool. How can MS and the OEMs use this to their advantage? Cool is always the minority. As Apple gets more marketshare, they automatically start to loose their luster. Samsung is doing well here. By showing Apple fans to be working hard to be cool, they are automatically not cool. People take Windows 8 phone because they dont want to be the majority. They dont try to get everyone else to think it is cool to be cool themselves. The fine line to not cross is making others look uncool to be cool yourself. This is something I see a lot in people jumping on how bad windows is to make themselves look cool. I personally gravitate to Windows because it is uncool and avoid apple because it is beyond cool to plain snobbish.

    • I actually went to the AT&T store to check out bothe the iPhone 5 and the Samsung SIII.
The iPhone feels tiny and small and frail and the Samsung feels robust.
Honestly though, I think the iPhone is not wide enough and the Samsung is too wide.
4.4 inches seems like the sweet spot.
The Samsung was impressive and VERY quick but based on many tests on the web, seems too frail.
      Who knows…

      • They are both “fine” just like two different but impressive PC’s, laptops or servers. One having more cores, or more RAM or a slightly newer generation video card. Like the old saying goes “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”
I got the iPhone 5 only because I do not want to mess up my lovely discounted family plan with unlimited data that I got grandfathered from Cingular. Fact is that it is a nice and sexy phone, I also had my Iphone4 stolen and had no phone so I needed a phone asap….but if it was up to me I would have preferred to get the Lumia 920, also a sexy and “fine” phone.
But I wont knock my iphone5, its perfectly fine, impressive and at the end of the day, I can make a phone call with it to call my family and say hello. And that is what it is all about.
