Iphone 5 challenging Windows Phone 8, there is also speculation about a new version of the Apple Ipad that sources are calling the Ipad HD. The new iPad won’t have any dramatic changes that we saw in the iPad 2 as compared to the original iPad. Instead, the latest iPad coming in September will be called the iPad HD and is somewhat of a Pro version in reference to the iPad 2. As hard as it might be to believe, the new tablet is said to sport a double resolution screen (2048 x 1536), and will be dubbed the “iPad HD.” The idea behind the product is apparently that it will be a “pro” device aimed at a higher end market — folks who work in video and photo production possibly — and will be introduced alongside something like an iPad version of Final Cut or Aperture. This product is specifically said to not be the iPad 3, rather a complimentary piece of the iPad 2 line. If this is not even the Ipad 3 what more can they pack into the Ipad 3? For the love of Pete… Anyway, this is the type of hurricane that Microsoft is up against when the new Windows 8 tablets begin to ship next year. So, that means that Apple may have developed 4 iterations of the Ipad by the time the first Windows 8 tablet ships? Not a good place to be – 4 Apple versions behind…]]>

  • I think its very cute that Apple is attempting this but the fact remains…unless they find a way to get non touch apps and programs on it, it will fail next to a Windows 8 tablet that can run the same exact production programs these same people use today. Why slow production and use some foreign app instead of the real thing. I find it funny that the author thinks its Windows thats behind when its Windows that this device is trying to compete with. A Windows 8 tablet wouldn’t need the “pro” moniker…its pro by nature.
