It’s that time of the week again. Wednesday. 10 AM Pacific. The time when a new preview build launches for Insiders. This time, Windows 10 build 19619 is the one to mark an appearance.
And it has landed in the Fast ring of the program.
This launch comes a couple of weeks after Windows 10 Version 2004 was deployed to the Release Preview ring. Expectedly, there isn’t much in terms of features, though a couple of things are new in this particular release.
These are actually listed under “other updates”, meaning that these features aren’t exclusive to this build.
But if you like some more coronavirus news, then there is a banner for it in Search. This, is part of the strategy to provide easy access to COVID-19 information to users at a more convenient location so that they can stay on top of things.
If that’s what you want to do.
And then there is also the ability to control your music and audio from within the Your Phone app. For these media controls to work, you will need to be rocking an Android 7.0 or later device.
Again, if that’s what you want to do.
Other than that, there is the usual slew of bug fixes, improvements, and known issues in build 19619. Nothing out of the ordinary, of course. And quite par for the course at this stage of the development of an update for Windows 10.
Speaking of which, this version is all ready for rollout in just a few days.
If you want this build though, this is ready and waiting for you in Windows Update. Just make sure that you are enrolled in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider Program. If not, then you can sign up for the preview program from its tabs in Settings.
