The most anticipated arrival for the week is here! A new build has hit both the Dev and Beta channels, in the form of Windows 11 build 22000.132. And boy, are Insiders in for a treat.
This new version of the preview is packed with new features.
There are a bunch of improvements to the OS, including the availability of Teams chat for Beta channel users and one-to-one group and video calling, making the communications experience in the operating system more complete.
But the big deal is the new Inbox apps.
We have the new Snipping Tool that replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch, offering a unified solution. A new Calculator app is also available that features the new Windows 11 design language, alongside the redesigned Mail and Calendar applications.
Currently, these new apps are only rolling out via the Microsoft Store for users enrolled in the Dev channel, but it won’t be long before they make it to the Beta channel.
In terms of other improvements, the build brings along a handful of new fixes that address issues and bugs, the usual. Microsoft lists all these usability improvements in a categorized manner in the post, which you can scan for more details.
And if you are running Dev and Beta channel builds, you can first up Windows Update on your machine and pull Windows 11 build 22000.132.
