While users that have installed Windows 8.1 Preview may have slowed down submitting their bug reports to Microsoft, the company has picked up pace when it comes to releasing new fixes for the OS.
The company continues to release new updates for the public preview version of the upcoming operating system at a brisk pace, with a couple of batches already out for users that have installed Windows 8.1 Preview.
Microsoft has just released the third batch of fixes, which follows the first batch in early July and the second one just a week or so ago.
These three patches are supposed to fix multiple issues in the operating system, one of which is a stability bug that has been reported when users launch the SkyDrive application.
Another is a bug in Internet Explorer 11 that prevents VBScript code embedded on websites and associated with a timer from starting. The third patch is repairs an issue that was caused the service metadata packages of some network operators to not function.
Users are recommended to launch Windows Update and deploy these new patches as soon as possible.
The software titan will, in all probability, continue with its rapid release cycle of updates to fix the various issues and bugs in Windows 8.1 Preview until the operating system reaches the RTM stage. The company has already stated its plans to deliver the RTM build of Windows 8.1 to OEMs in late August.
