BAV0 got access to some documentation on the update that hints at the fact that the company is also preparing full ISOs of Windows 8.1 Update 1. It was initially expected to arrive exclusively in the MSU format, via the Windows Update feature. The documentation shows that Redmond is readying what it calls the “Windows 8.1 Update full media release”, as you can see in the image below: There is a fair chance that these ISO files will be released to MSDN subscribers in early April, ahead of the BUILD developer conference, thereby giving them to chance to deploy the operating system and provide the necessary feedback to the software titan. Final release for consumers will follow a few days after that. But if anyone of you want to do a clean install of Windows 8.1 Update 1, at least you will have a chance to do that thanks to the ISOs, which are very likely to come in multiple languages and versions. Additionally, the same leaker also found out the final build number of the final RTM package in the documentation that Microsoft sent out to OEM partners. It is Windows 8.1 Update 1 build number 9600.1703, as previous leaks on the matter have confirmed.]]>

Was this information leaked by a Microsoft employee or did someone hack in and find this out? I guess it doesn’t really matter, because it’s really interesting news either way.
Now is this the same update that they’ve been releasing leaked versions for the last couple of weeks? If so, it seems like they wanted this info out to the public as well.
This update has been all over the place! I bet headquarters cannot wait until its released and done with! Too much constant news/leaks/releases on it! :p
