reports in the Russian media, Kibkalo is to spend the next three months in prison after being found guilty of leaking confidential information and violating Microsoft intellectual property. He had already admitted uploading a number of Microsoft software with the help of a French blogger. These included the preview versions of Windows 8 and the SDK (software development kit) of Microsoft Activation Server. The French blogger used the information to upload screenshots on his website. Interestingly, the identity of this French blogger is yet to be discovered. Kibkalo, however, was arrested by the FBI this March. He had worked at Redmond for a total of 7 years, and was said to be behind several leaks that hit the web in the past couple of years. No statement from Microsoft on this yet, but the software titan was on this case for a very long time. So maybe we will hear something official on this new development.]]>
