Not a bad result considering win7 is a very solid OS and PC market is shrinking due to the rise of mobile computing.
Indeed. Windows 7 sold 300 million licences in the same 15-month period. Considering that Windows 7 came after Windows Vista and in a period when PC were selling like hot cakes, the Windows 8/8.1 results so far are really nothing to complain about
Not bad, but why do people act like Microsoft has not always reported this numbers. They’ve been doing it this way forever. Plus, considering Windows 8 came out before Windows XP retired and with people still in the middle of Windows 7 transition, it’s not fairing that bad. Would be nice if Windows 8.x was closer to 20% but at least it’s growing
