Nokia Lumia 1020, the upcoming smartphone from the Finnish telecom giant set for an official unveil later this week has been seemingly confirmed by the Flickr stream of Joe Belfiore.

Belfiore is the Windows Phone corporate vice president at Microsoft.

Codenamed Nokia EOS, the smartphone has been in the news these past few weeks as interest in the device has picked up with news that the Finnish company would be announcing the device at an event in London on July 11.

As The Verge notes, sample photos shot with the Lumia 1020 have been published at Belfiore’s Flickr stream. The EXIF data attached to the images clearly points to a yet unnamed handset.

The photos seem to be exported through Adobe Lightroom 5.0, which suggests that both images may have been cropped before being published online. The photos are not extremely high resolution, though. One is around 5 megapixels and the other one is 3.7 megapixels in dimensions.

Just like the previously released Nokia 808 PureView, it appears that the camera on this upcoming smartphone can shoot at multiple resolutions.

One thing is pretty much certain at this point — the Nokia Lumia 1020 is indeed a real device as mentioned in the EXIF data of the photos.

The only thing that remains now is an official unveil from Nokia, including pricing, availability along with details on what kind of hardware the smartphone houses and what software enhancements will Nokia make to it. We should know in just a couple of days.
