Cool. From the screenshots, it looks like the IE9 RC will let you have tabs on a new line. That’s a commonly requested feature.
None of the leaked screenshots of IE9 RC from more reputable sources show this functionality, either, which would presumably be pretty big news – another reason I’m leaning cautiously towards this image being a mockup or a plain fake.
For what it’s worth, the “real” rc seems to have changed the tab style to be less round, instead opting for a sharper, square look. Seems odd that they would double back on a minor ui change like that, whilst adding a fairly major feature like this.
Additionally, though it’s not necessarily verifiable, I believe that Microsoft has not yet ever had an OS pre release version with this kind of watermark, though I would be willing to overlook that if there weren’t so many other discrepancies.
fake
I’m going to call fake on this one, provisionally. The only way that we can get proof of a valid leak would be if they released the setup.exe from the install disk, so that we can verify that it has a valid digital signature.
Screenshots don’t cut it, and if they refuse to leak the actual bits, this,d be the only other way.
Pathetic and typicall of a Windows User. dumb, stupid luddites !!!
Does’nt seem like a genuine leak!!! wat is the harmony wallpaper doing there & no leaks, no good!!!!
