Another Microsoft Security Update Broken, Removed

“Microsoft revised this bulletin to address a known issue that prevented users from successfully installing security update 2982385 for Microsoft Lync Server 2010. Microsoft is investigating behavior associated with the installation of this update, and will update this bulletin when more information becomes available. As an added precaution, Microsoft has removed the download links to the 2982385 security update.” Although the software titan is currently investigating the issue, it appears that this particular problem was in no way widespread. Users, however, complained that in almost all cases, deploying this patch resulted in installation errors that pointed out that the publisher of the driver cannot be verified. This probably is something that Redmond can quickly take care of. It was just a little while back that a patch for OneDrive for Business was removed after Microsoft received complaints from users that installed it.]]>

  • Glad they took it down, but this happens too much. Microsoft needs to be better at this. Simple as that.
