One thing about the mobile world is that it rarely stops to take a breath. Companies continue releasing new models, updating favorites and flagships left and right, sometimes a bit too fast for most tastes.

Nokia, for instance, just recently released the Lumia 1520.

It is a phablet, granted, but it has been a few weeks since it was official unveiled at the Nokia World 2013 event in Abu Dhabi. If anything, the flagship Windows Phone 8 handset is yet to hit the store shelves in many parts of the world.

But now the company is said to be preparing a new flagship, a new high-end device.

According to this report, the Lumia 1820 is expected to become official at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona early next year. Though precious few details are provided, word is that the phone will make use of a metal unibody design.

Oh, and that it will be launched with a Lytro style camera. Your guess is as good as mine!

However, this is not the first time gossip of such a device have popped up online. Some three months back, there were rumors that the Lumia 1820 was on track to be Microsoft’s first Windows Phone 8.1 handset, in the sense that Redmond’s acquisition of Nokia ought to be complete by then.

Still, keep the grains of salt handy, even though more details on the device should emerge soon.
